In the current trend of globalisation, more people of diverse cultures are working together. Despite the help of translation and interpretation, cross-cultural communication still face challenges from time to time. Scientific research shows that cultural differences create psychological “noises” that could severely hinder intercultural communication. To bridge the gap, we provide a range of cultural programs that introduce a range of aspects of Chinese culture and help people who wish to work with Chinese people to build their cross-cultural awareness and communication skills. The courses encompass the everyday life in China, the philosophical and spiritual sides of Chinese people, communication style and the artistic aspects. The cultural training can help understand how the Chinese minds work.
In addition to cross-cultural communication training, we also provide consultancy for any individual or organisation that needs support in cross-cultural communication between Australians and Chinese. Our aim is to make cultural dialogues clearer, easier and more effective.
Chinese calligraphy, known as 书法 (shūfǎ), is one of the oldest and most revered forms of artistic expression in China. This course brings in rich aspects of Chinese calligraphy including its history, underlying philosophies, introduction of the tool kits, writing techniques, foundations of the Chinese characters and hands-on experience of this art. This is suitable for anyone who wishes to lay a great foundation of Chinese characters and explore the inner world in this exercise.
Recreational activities are a great way to expereince the culture and create fun memories with your loved ones. You may choose to enjoy a few hours of calming practice of traditional Chinese art or have some hands-on expereince with Chinese food. Explore the option below!
